That's the problem w/ playing so many hands. Often u get sucked out on or just run into a better hand even if u make the hand you want post-flop. That being said, this is an easy laydown at those stakes. The board paired, there are so many hands that beat u. Erick is a loose/agg player & he could call u preflop w/ KTs, J8s, Q8s, A8s, 88, or JJ. I would rule out AA or QQ bc he would have reraised preflop. This has happened to everyone, just bc it was quads makes it worse.

you obv didnt see this session. He lost every major pot for like 4 hours, he was just running cold i think daniel knows the plus and minus of playing lots of hands.

I am disapointed at daniel a little bit with that hand. There is a bunch of hands that had him beat : K-10, QQ, JJ, 88, AA, 8J, 8Q, A8. For erick to go all-in, he must have had a better hand but then again when you are in the hand, its completely different situation

Negreanu was still feeling the big loss against gus hansen, he was clearly not focused in this hand, couldn't put eric on a hand...in a normal situation, not having the pressure of the big loss he would have folded putting eric on a boat. I really suffer when i watch daniel losing because he's so unlucky and really deserves to win.

Yeah I'd have to agree. As the guys calling the game said when you have a little bad luck ie the Hasen hand people may take a shot at you. Obvious Hansens hand had some lasting impact on Daniel.
What I don't get though even with all that being said is how he didn't even seem to consider the possibility of the 2 8's making quads. I would never knock Daniel he is an awesome guy and a real champion

negreanu is my hero! not many players would get away from this no matter how good they are. thought he may have folded when he said he thought he may have pocket jacks but he couldnt quite get it. Wasn't much money to him either. Seen him playing in pots 5 times bigger than that one. Probably another reason he called.
